Homeschool Days: Stones & Bones

August 6 @ 11:00 am – 1:30 pm

Calling all homeschool families! Explore our school programs at your own pace! In addition to normal museum activities, staff are on the floor to facilitate learning through hands-on games and activities relating to the topic for the day. For all ages!

This session: Stones & Bones. Our education staff takes you on a geologic tour of the museum featuring hands-on activities with rock specimens, fossils, and science demonstrations. Students learn about the rock cycle, the geologic history of Delaware, how fossils form, and how to identify some common minerals.

Stations include:

Rock Garden
Delaware Geologic History
Mineral ID
Rock Cycle Passport
Fossils

$10 per student, $13 per adult, Free for member adults
